Fort Mohave, Arizona is a small town located in the western part of the state, near the borders of California and Nevada. It is known for its warm weather, outdoor recreational opportunities, and proximity to the Colorado River. However, like any place, Fort Mohave has its pros and cons, and the following user reviews provide a glimpse into what it's like to live there.

- "My husband and I have lived in Fort Mohave for over 10 years now, and we absolutely love it. The weather is fantastic, with plenty of sunshine and mild winters. The community is friendly and welcoming, and we have never felt safer anywhere else. We highly recommend Fort Mohave to anyone looking for a small town with big opportunities." - Sarah H.

- "I have lived in Fort Mohave for most of my life and I have to say, it's a great place to raise a family. The schools are decent, and there are plenty of outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained. However, job opportunities are limited and the cost of living is slowly increasing. Overall, it's a nice place to call home." - David R.

- "I moved to Fort Mohave about a year ago and I have to say, it's not my favorite place. The summers are scorching hot and the winters can get chilly. There isn't much to do here, and the town feels pretty run-down. I'm planning on moving to a bigger city soon." - Emily S.

- "Fort Mohave is a hidden gem. I've lived here for a few years now and I love the small-town feel. The people are friendly and there is a strong sense of community. It may not be the most exciting place, but it's a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings." - Mark B.

Love it so far! - 3/31/2023
I came here to visit, but have decided to buy a house here instead. It seems to be a growing town with everything we need within 5 miles. There is a Smiths Grocery, and a Safeway. The post office is 2 miles away. There is a dollar General, Dollar Tree, three thrift shops, Auto Zone and of course, Walmart. Many restaurants. We have a hospital and a couple of doctors offices, dog groomer and even a small friendly health club. The big box stores are Smart and Final and Sams club in nearby Bullhead City. This city has everything we need or want. Water quality is good. Cost of living no better or worse than anywhere else. Nearby Laughlin has casinos and lots of extras. Love it here as a retirement location, but haven't experienced the summer months Read More

Fort Mohave life - 6/29/2015
Nine months out of the year the weather is gorgeous. Dry, clean air with the Colorado River winding down the west side of town. Shopping is big box but easy to get to, as is the Community College. There's a River Preserve with a sandy beach to raft or swim. Lots of trail bike and horse trails. Avi Resort is right across the River with gambling, movies, concerts and two for one buffets. It's a quiet, bedroom community out of the glare of Laughlin or Bullhead City. Lots of golfing, too. Very reasonable housing due to the brutal summer months. I make the River my friend Read More

Its a dry heat - 3/4/2013
Desert temperatures are expectably high, and at some few hundred feet above sea level and at the edge of the Mojave Desert, Fort Mo has seen many days topping over 110 degrees F in a row, up to nearly three weeks of 110 to 120 degree heat. This is not reported on the national weather channels, generally. I don't care how dry it is, I've walked around a few hours in August at 120 plus degrees, and it is scary. You feel like your eyeballs are cooking when you ride a motorcycle in this heat. Shower water turned all the way to cold will still be almost too hot to shower in, cause the ground is heating it before it gets to your Read More
