Summarized User Reviews from BestPlaces.net:
1. From "Karen M.": "I have lived in Wittmann for over 10 years and absolutely love it. The community is tight-knit and everyone looks out for each other. The scenery is beautiful and the sunsets are breathtaking. Yes, it's a small town but that's part of its charm."
2. From "John G.": "Wittmann is a peaceful place to live but it's definitely not for everyone. If you like being close to city amenities or a fast-paced lifestyle, this is not the place for you. However, if you enjoy a slower pace and don't mind a bit of a drive to get to bigger cities, you'll love it here. Plus, the housing prices are unbeatable."
3. From "Samantha R.": "I moved to Wittmann about a year ago and have never felt more at home. The people are friendly and welcoming and there's always something to do outdoors. The only downside is that there aren't many job opportunities in the town, so be prepared to commute for work."
4. From "Mark H.": "Wittmann is a hidden gem in Arizona. The cost of living is low and the views are incredible. However, as the town grows, traffic has become a bit of an issue on the main roads. But overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life."

Wittmann living - 6/26/2009
I am hearing all these bad remarks about Wittmann. I have a custom built home in the newer home area. We have amazing neighbors and its such a great little town. The closest city would be Surprise, where you could do some real shopping. There is a new gas station and Subway being built right off of Grand Ave. and 211th ave. So excited! There is plenty of land for good prices, not everyone is a drug addicted nor rude and dirty. Anywhere you go these days has people like that. The first part of Wittmann you see is the older more run down part. If you go further back in you will find beautiful newer homes with LAND! I recommend this place to any adult whose childern can drive. I do not recommend it if there is young kids the school is in the bad part of

number of physicians - 2/27/2009
One other thing. I know that per capita is different from the actual number but shouldn't you be more precise? Technically, in the town, there are NO doctors. There is no hospital, no doctors office, nothing. There is not even a real fire department, just a volunteer one. There is no police station. Just a post office, a minimart and a bar. There is no town hall, just a community center where the volunteer fire department has a bbq once a year and the senior citizens get together and have lunch. This is a one horse town with no sidewalks, no stop lights and it really has not changed that much in 30 years, except some of the really bad people aged a little and mellowed out. Sorry, I lived there for a real long time and I really would not want anyone to think it was a real town where it may be a good idea to move the wife and kids and pets

population and crime - 2/27/2009
I believe your numbers for the population are off. I believe that in 2000, the population was 4,174 or 4,147. You should mention that the crime rate is only the reported crime. big difference. You didn't mention that it's one of the two most popular places in all of arizona to get drugs too. The number for student per librarian is WAY off. There used to be about 2000 kids in the one grade school there and there was ONE librarian. They have just recently built another grade school but I doubt there are more than a small handful of librarians still. At the tail end of 86 there were still just one librarian and one assistant. Other than that, I'm shocked and amazed you got such accurate information from a town full of people who are afraid to open the door because it might be a cop. I would say the unemployment rate is also off. There are more people on welfare out there with supplemental, illegal income than anything else. I like this website. I really do. I'm going to use
