I have for the most part grown up in the SF Bay Area (specifically the East Bay). Having lived here nearly all my life I am very happy with Pleasanton and purchased my first home here 2 years ago. What did make the place I live great is that I live in the country at the base of Mt. Diablo. We have very moderate weather and everything I could possibly want is within a days drive (1 hour to the ocean, 2 hours to Napa Valley wine country and the redwoods, 3 hours to Yosemite, and 4 hours to good snow skiing in the Sierra's.
