Long term SF Bay Area Resident - 7/8/2008
I have for the most part grown up in the SF Bay Area (specifically the East Bay). Having lived here nearly all my life I am very happy with Pleasanton and purchased my first home here 2 years ago. I think ultimately my favorite part of this area is the Cultural Diversity. Yes, its an expensive area to live in, but with great weather and so much to do its the price we pay. What did make the place I live great is that I live in the country at the base of Mt. Diablo. We have very moderate weather and everything I could possibly want is within a days drive (1 hour to the ocean, 2 hours to Napa Valley wine country and the redwoods, 3 hours to Yosemite, and 4 hours to good snow skiing in the Sierra's.
