Great Schools, Values, and Police - 5/27/2021
I own 2 homes in the South Bay including one in South Torrance. The schools are excellent (as are other beach cities from El Segundo down to Palos Verdes). The weather is fantastic anywhere within a few miles of the beach. This is a diverse, well-educated area with relatively low density and family friendly. For the same price point as some Redondo townhomes, one can purchase a single family home here (something which other buyers have caught on since Covid and is now being reflected in prices). The homeless problem is getting worse across LA but Torrance has a plan on the way to address it so to not become a repeat of Venice and DTLA. Likewise with crime... city council and vast majority of residents are not giving in to BLM and Antifa agitations to defund the police (just search for Christopher Deandre Mitchell case). Highly recommend. Read More

South Torrance - 5/27/2010
The thing I like best about my area of Torrance is the parks. I have no less than 3 nice ones within a 15 minute walk from my apartment near the intersection of Hawthorn and PCH. Lago Seco is my favorite; they also have a community garden! You can't go in unless you rent a plot but it is always so awesome to watch people at work in there. Some of the veggies look wonderful!

The fact that I have easy walking access to a great grocery store, cvs, and shops doesn't hurt either. Read More
