The Upper East Side is a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. It is known for its affluent residents, luxury shopping, and cultural institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. The zip code 10021, specifically, is located in the Upper East Side and is considered one of the most expensive zip codes in the city. It is home to some of the most prestigious residential addresses and is known for its upscale lifestyle and high-end real estate.

According to many user reviews on bestplaces.net, the Upper East Side and specifically the zip code 10021 offers a luxurious and desirable living experience. One reviewer, Sarah, says "Living in the Upper East Side is like living in a movie. The streets are clean, the buildings are beautiful, and the shopping is amazing." It's an OK neighbourhood, too sterile for me. though, close to the Central park and Museum Mile. Rents start from $1,500. Lots of sport bars and restaurants (some of them even good). Great location if you work in the city. Close access to Village and Bowery where the night life is exhuberant. Great place for a young person, but would not want to live here all my life.
