The Pearl District, NW Portland - 10/17/2012
The Pearl District is a great area of Portland, high energy urban in a lovely quality setting of residential buildings and lots of interesting shops and businesses. Very homey within a high energy, urban style setting, the Pearl District has an artistic and creative energy, with numerous art galleries, shops, boutiques, fashion forward people and many varied restaurants and cafes. The Pacific Northwest College of Art is nestled in the Pearl, too, which feels entirely fitting to the more relaxed ambiance. Photography for local wedding parties is frequently seen being shot at scenic ecology model Tanner Springs Park or a couple of blocks over at Jamison Square, which has a well-attended annual Christmas Tree lighting in December.
