As a resident of Erie, PA County, I am deeply concerned about the crime rates in our community. According to recent statistics, the county has a violent crime rate of 13.8, which is significantly lower than the national average of 22.7. While this may seem like a positive statistic, it is still important to address and work towards reducing this number. In addition, the property crime rate in our county is 28.3, slightly below the national average of 35.4. While this may be seen as a good thing, any crime is unacceptable and it is crucial that steps are taken to ensure the safety and security of our community.
